Create & Connect Art Socials is a free, low-pressure art evening combining a brief art history lesson with a collaborative, hands-on artmaking activity. Designed to keep things playful, this event facilitates connections through shared creativity, meaning there’s no “right way” to participate.

 

This night’s theme, Surrealist Girl September, will feature a short presentation on Surrealist women artists (accompanied by a collectible zine) and the opportunity to create your own tableau vivant, or “living picture,” inspired by a chosen Surrealist artwork using materials provided by Cedars Union. A final photo will capture the completed reconstructed artwork, and participants will leave with new art history insights, a stronger sense of community, and a fun keepsake from the night.
