Known for his distinctive pick-and-fingers technique, Chris Buck has built a reputation on feel, taste, and musicality rather than flash. Hailing from Newport, South Wales, Chris first gained international attention after winning MusicRadar’s Best New Guitarist award in 2017, followed by being voted Best New Guitarist, Best Blues Guitarist, and Best Pop Guitarist by Guitarist Magazine readers in successive years.
In recent years, Chris has reached even wider audiences through his band Cardinal Black, whose debut album January Came Close topped both iTunes and Amazon charts, as well as through a hugely popular YouTube presence with over 32 million views. His playing has drawn praise from guitar legends across the industry, yet Chris remains grounded in what matters most to him: playing great music with great people.
