Members’ Open Mic Spotlight events are open to everyone. HCA membership is required to perform.
On the second Thursday of each month, September-May, a Members’ Open Mic Spotlight is followed by a featured set from a guest artist to finish the evening. In September, we’re excited to welcome the Chris Bates Trio.

🎤 Chris Bates Trio | 7:15-8pm
Chris Bates, Hopkins High School class of ’89, has built a 30-year career as a bassist, educator and collaborator. His work has included touring with jazz artists including Lee Konitz, Mose Allison and Lynne Arriale, recording with singer-songwriters, and performing with ensembles including Atlantis Quartet, Red Planet and Framework. He also leads several groups of his own, including the Chris Bates Trio, Good Vibes Trio and RED 5.
