Come Celebrate 50 years of Physical Therapy Education Excellence With Us!The Department of Physical Therapy Education has a history of excellence dating back to 1972 when five students became the first physical therapists to graduate from Upstate Medical University (UMU). Since then, our program has adapted and grown alongside advances in physical therapy practice. In 1994, we moved from a bachelor's degree to a master's degree and 20 years ago, we launched our doctoral program. The UMU PT program continues to be a model of excellence, demonstrated by the achievements of our alumni in their communities. We celebrate the success of our students and alumni, and we invite you, our alumni, to join us for our inaugural reunion!
