Chosen Family MCR Christmas Eve Social

Chosen Family MCR was founded to create a community amongst estranged people, careleavers, and people with struggling family relations. We decided to throw a free coffee and bake morning on Christmas Eve to start this community, raise awareness, and hopefully make one persons Christmas a bit better. The Christmas period can be some of the hardest for people of these groups so we wanted to do a charity event that was accessible, fun, and a safe place to speak about certain issues. The event will include free hot drinks, free bakes, some activities such as card/ board games, and some creative workshops. The main reason why we wanted to do this is that so people could feel a sense of community, so don’t be scared, bring a friend if it’ll make you more comfortable, and come and connect 💞
