Choral Evensong for the Feast of the Chair of St. Peter

We invite all pilgrims to share an evening service with our brothers and sisters from the Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter on its patronal feast day.

Tracing its origins to a provision of Saint John Paul II, The Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter was formed in 2012, to enable groups of Anglicans in the USA to join the Catholic Church while preserving elements of their liturgical and spiritual heritage, which now remains as a precious gift nourishing the faith of the members of the Ordinariate and as a treasure to be shared.

“Evensong” comes from the Old English translation of “Vespers” and is part of the liturgical Anglican tradition.
