Choral Evensong at St Mary's Church Sompting

A service of Choral Evensong in the beautiful and iconic Sompting Church.

This service is led by the St Mary’s Singers, who sing responses, canticles, an anthem, and the psalm set for the day, allowing the congregation to experience the beauty of the music in this iconic setting. There are readings from the Bible, and prayers are said for the Church, the World and ourselves

Music includes: O Magnum Mysterium by Morten Lauridsen and Timothy Dudley-Smith’s Tell out my soul. Guest preacher will be The Revd Canon Dominic Keech, Priest-in-Charge of Boxgrove Priory.

The service will be followed by wine and beer and morris dancing by Sompting Village Morris.
