"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills…" — Psalm 121
The Grand Rapids Choir of Men and Boys opens its 37th season with a service of Choral Evensong in the beautiful Basilica of St. Adalbert.
Rooted in centuries of English cathedral tradition, Evensong is a sung service of psalms, canticles, readings, prayers, and anthems woven together. Evensong invites us to set down the busyness of our lives and lift up our eyes, finding peace, beauty, and a moment of the transcendent in sacred song.
This year's Evensong will include:
Magnificat and Nunc dimittis by George Dyson
Beati quorum via by Charles Villiers Stanford
Jubilate Deo in C by Benjamin Britten
Preces and Responses by Gabriel Jackson
A Prayer of King Henry VI by Henry Ley
Psalm 121 by Henry Walford Davies
Dr. Eric D. Reyes, Artistic Director
Jordan Malone, Associate Conductor
Dr. Julia Brown, Organist
Amy Netz, Rehearsal Accompanist & Business Manager

Basilica of St. Adalbert, 654 Davis Ave NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504
