Kayaks, sunshine, and Cambridge vibes on the Choptank. Enjoy an easy, one-hour paddle with ShoreRivers, led by our Choptank Riverkeeper, Matt Pluta, who champions river health and brings neighbors together to restore the Choptank. After the paddle, join us for a pavilion gathering with snacks, drinks, and neighbors.
Meet at the pavilion at 2:00 PM. We plan to be on the water by 2:30 PM. Bring your own kayak, paddle board, or claim one of 12 seats, first-come, first-served. Life jackets (PFDs) are required; we will have a few extras. Bring water, sunscreen, and a hat.
Prefer to stay dry? You are welcome to join on land. A part of the group will hang out at the pavilion while paddlers are out, enjoying good company.
Free to attend; donations to ShoreRivers and Proudly Cambridge are welcome during the event.
If it rains, we will reschedule for Spring.
If you plan to bring your own kayak or paddleboard, we ask you to register so we can plan accordingly. If you need one of the 12 available open seats, registration is required to secure your spot.
