The first salon will include a performance with the first-prize winner of this year’s . William’s program will feature works by Frédéric Chopin, showcasing the artistry that earned him national acclaim.

After the concert, join us for a wine reception, and the evening concludes with an optional elegant catered dinner, providing guests with an opportunity to mingle with the artists and enjoy the company of friends, both old and new.

About William Yang
Twenty-three-year-old William Yang won First Prize at the 2025 National Chopin Piano Competition in Miami, Florida, receiving $100,000, a Steinway recording project, and a concert tour, including a performance at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in June 2025. He also won prizes for the best performance of a mazurka and sonata. Previous accolades include Second Prize at the 2014 Midwest International Piano Competition, Sixth Prize at the 2018 Thomas and Evon Cooper International Piano Competition, and the Bach Prize as a semifinalist at the 2015 Cleveland International Piano Competition.
As a soloist, Mr. Yang has performed with the Fort Worth Symphony, Southeast Iowa Symphony, and Minnesota Orchestra. A Curtis Institute graduate, he is a Kovner Fellow at The Juilliard School studying with Robert McDonald. His teachers include Alexander Korsantia, Paul Wirth, Hung-Kuan Chen, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Antonio Pompa-Baldi, Gary Graffman, Peter Takacs, Boris Berman, and André Watts.
Mr. Yang began piano at age four and gave his first performances at seven. Outside of music, he enjoys playing table tennis.
