Join Soroptimist International of Goulburn for a hands-on community workshop where we transform everyday foil-lined snack packets into weather-resistant blankets for people in need.
Whether you're passionate about recycling, want to learn a new skill, or simply enjoy making a difference in your community, we'd love to see you there.

WHAT TO EXPECT
We'll begin with a demonstration showing how clean foil-lined snack packets are fused together to create blanket panels. After that, everyone is welcome to have a go, help assemble blankets, ask questions, or simply watch and learn.
No experience is necessary and all materials and guidance will be provided.
WHAT TO BRING
✔ Clean, dry foil-lined chip packets and snack wrappers
✔ An iron (if you have one and are happy to bring it)
✔ A friend or family member
✔ Your curiosity and community spirit
Did you know? Approximately 25 large chip packets can create one blanket.
All sizes of foil-lined snack packets are useful, including:
• Chip packets
• Confectionery wrappers
• Small chocolate bar wrappers
• Other foil-lined snack packaging
WHY IT MATTERS
The blankets created through this project help support local services assisting people experiencing homelessness and other vulnerable members of our community, including women and children.
Blankets not completed during the workshop will be finished by members of Soroptimist International of Goulburn and distributed through local support services.
WHO CAN ATTEND?
Everyone is welcome.
Older children may attend with a supervising adult. Please note that hot irons will be in use throughout the workshop, so the event is not suitable for younger children.
LIGHT REFRESHMENTS PROVIDED
Enjoy tea, coffee and biscuits while you learn more about this practical community project and the work Soroptimist International of Goulburn does to improve the lives of women and girls through education, empowerment and community action.
No registration required — simply come along and join in.
