About this Event
Chinese New Year: Incense-Making, I Ching Guidance, & Guided Meditation
A 1 ½ hour incense cone-making experience with I Ching group reading and guided meditation to welcome the Year of the Horse.
Tues., Feb. 17th @ Continuum Yoga Studio, 155 SW Century Drive, Bend
Energy Exchange: Early Bird (first 5) $59, Regular $69
Welcome the energy of the Year of the Horse—a symbol of vitality, freedom, courage, and forward movement—through a hands-on, spiritually grounded incense-making experience.
We’ll begin by settling in with tea and an overview of Chinese New Year and the Year of the Horse. You’ll then receive I-Ching guidance (including a group reading and a personal oracle pull) to set a clear, supportive theme for the year ahead. From there, we’ll move into a guided meditation, followed by the main experience: crafting your own natural incense cones. You’ll choose your own all natural herbs and resins from a curated collection, selecting intuitively based on your I Ching guidance, the meditation, and what you want to anchor for the year. Your incense becomes a practical ritual tool you can light throughout the year to reconnect with that theme.
What to Expect
✨ Arrival, tea & light snacks + Year of the Horse overview
A welcoming start to help you land, understand the themes of the Horse year, and shift out of “doing mode.”
✨ I Ching overview + group reading
A simple introduction to the I Ching (Book of Changes), followed by a collective oracle card reading to illuminate the shared energetic tone of the year ahead.
✨ Personal I Ching oracle inspiration
You’ll draw a personal card for insight and direction—something you’ll carry into your incense intentions.
✨ Guided meditation
A short, grounding guided meditation to connect with the energy of the Horse and clarify what you’re ready to embody.
✨ Sacred incense-making workshop (main experience)
Incense cone making is a hands-on workshop where you’ll craft 10–15 of your own natural incense cones for yourself of to offer as a gift. Your incense becomes a practical ritual tool you can light throughout the year to reconnect with that theme.
✨ Closing blessing
We’ll close with a simple group blessing to seal the energy and send you home with your incense and a clear, grounded intention.
