Celebrate Chinese New Year in one of Oroville’s most treasured historic landmarks! Join us at the Oroville Chinese Temple on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm for a festive Chinese New Year celebration filled with culture, tradition, and family-friendly fun.
Hosted by the City of Oroville and the Oroville Docents Association, with contributing partners Ensuring the Arts for Any Given Child Butte County and Tong Fong Low, this annual event invites the community to experience the sights, sounds, and stories of the Chinese New Year.
Event highlights include:
🦁 Lion Dancer performance at noon (12:00 p.m.), bringing energy, good fortune, and excitement to the Temple grounds
🎨 Traditional arts and crafts activities for kids, inspired by Chinese customs
