DJ STINGRAY 313
A true pioneer in the electronic music world, DJ Stingray 313 explores themes of modern science, genetics, healthcare, and technology through his music. His career began in 1987 with Lou Robinson (Scan 7) under the alias Nasa, producing "Time To Party" and "Can't Stop Now." Later, as Urban Tribe, he released "Covert Action" on Carl Craig’s Planet E Communications, followed by the 1998 album The Collapse of Modern Culture on Mo'Wax, featuring collaborations with Carl Craig, Anthony "Shake" Shakir, and Moodymann. Most notably, he was closely associated with James Stinson and Gerald Donald of Drexciya, earning the title "Drexciyan DJ Stingray" and becoming their official touring DJ. His high-energy, cyborg-like performances have captivated audiences at legendary venues and festivals such as Tresor Berlin, Berghain, Dekmantel, Movement Festival (Detroit), Sonar (Barcelona), and Glastonbury. Releasing under DJ Stingray 313 and Stingray313, his music has appeared on Mahogani Music, Warp Records, Rephlex, Tresor, and Unknown To The Unknown. He has also collaborated under the NRSB-11 moniker with Gerald Donald and Penelope Martin. Through his label Micron Audio, he continues to push futuristic electro and techno, showcasing artists like Galaxian, Ctris, Loka, and 6SISS, alongside his own groundbreaking productions.
SKEPTICAL [UK]
Renowned for his meticulous production and technical DJing, Skeptical has left an indelible mark on modern drum & bass. His breakout moment came with the Blue Eyes EP on Ingredients Records in 2011, leading to releases on Dispatch, Metalheadz, Soul:r, and Exit Records. His track Marka (with Dub Phizix & Strategy) became a global anthem, amassing millions of views on YouTube. Other notable releases include the Imperial EP, Outset EP, and Without A Trace EP with Alix Perez.
Skeptical is also a key member of Module Eight, a collective featuring dBridge, Kid Drama, Loxy, and Resound, which resulted in the album Legacy. His track Move Way with dBridge was released on the legendary R&S Records, marking the label’s first drum & bass release since 2000. His versatility extends to remixing, having reworked tracks for Jubei, reggae legend Sizzla, and Zed Bias. In 2017, he was awarded Best Alternative Artist at the UK Drum & Bass Awards. Not shy of collaborating Skeptical is 1/5 of collective group ‘Module Eight’ made up of producers dBridge, Kid Drama, Loxy and Resound. Module Eight is a project of like minded producers with an aim to have fun writing experimental music, it has resulted in an album being released called ‘Legacy’.
His collaboration track ‘Move Way’ with dBridge was released on the legendary R&S Records and was the first drum and bass track to come out on the record label since the year 2000.
His work with various labels across the globe has seen him remix tracks from a wide range of producers such as Jubei, Jamaican reggae artist Sizzla and more recently Zed Bias. In 2017 he was voted ‘Best Alternative Artist’ at the Drum & Bass Awards UK.
Skeptical who is known for his technical Djing abilities has meant he’s travelled the world to places such as Europe, America, South America, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Asia, his DJ sets have been heard in some of the most popular clubs and festivals worldwide.
