Chinese ink painting (国画) is a timeless art form that celebrates simplicity, harmony, and expressive brushwork. Rather than emphasizing intricate detail, it seeks to capture the spirit of its subjects through fluid strokes and the natural movement of ink. This hands-on workshop offers participants the opportunity to explore the beauty of Chinese painting by learning to depict one of China’s most cherished symbols: the panda. Renowned for its playful demeanor and striking black-and-white appearance, the panda serves as an ideal subject for beginners to practice ink wash techniques and develop brush control.
Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, participants will be introduced to the foundational principles of Chinese brush painting and will create their own delightful panda artwork. No prior painting experience is required. All you need is curiosity and a passion for creativity!
Adults please register to attend. Space is limited: https://tinyurl.com/2yb5nxdx
