Jiaozhou Yangko
Key Information
Course Description
Jiaozhou Yangko is a folk dance originated from Shandong, China. It is renowned for its unique "three bends" posture and the dynamic rhythm of "twisting, rolling, stretching and toughening", fully demonstrating the reserved and tenacious nature of women in Shandong. This course will take you deep into this intangible cultural heritage art. You will systematically learn its core rhythm and various classic dance steps of Jiaozhou Yangko, and master the props in the dance: fans and silk. Through the study of classic combinations, you will gradually experience the graceful and elegant yet charming and refined dance style of Jiaozhou Yangko. This course is designed for all Chinese dance enthusiasts. At the end of the course, a small performance combination will be presented as the outcome, allowing you to integrate what you have learned in the class and fully experience the artistic charm of Jiaozhou Yangko.
