We invite you to engage in a powerful and timely cinematic experience on April 17th at 5:30 p.m. with a screening of Chinatown Rising- a documentary that captures the fight for justice, identity, and community in San Fransico’s Chinatown during the civil rights era.
The first screening will take place on Friday, April 17, 2026, and will feature a live Q&A with co-director Josh Chuck. Attendees will gain firsthand insight into the filmmaking process, the historical movement depicted in the film, and the continued relevance of these stories today.
An encore screening is scheduled for Monday, April 20, 2026, and will include a panel of Asian American leaders and advocates. The discussion will explore themes of cultural identity, community organizing and the enduring power of storytelling to inspire social change across generations.
