Join us for a rewarding day helping to care for one of our local green spaces, the beautiful Chilworth Conservation Area.

Whether you're passionate about nature, looking to give back to your local community, or simply fancy spending a day outdoors with like-minded people, we'd love to welcome you. This volunteer day is open to everyone, so whether you're joining as an individual, with friends, or as part of your workplace, there's a place for you.

Many organisations offer employees paid volunteering days each year. If your employer does, why not use yours to make a real difference while enjoying a day in the fresh air?

Working alongside fellow volunteers and our team, you'll help with a range of seasonal conservation activities that protect and enhance the area. Tasks may include clearing overgrown vegetation, general parkland maintenance, coppicing and scrub management, wildlife surveying and monitoring, and litter picking to help keep the conservation area looking its best.

Midway through the day, we'll take a well-earned break for a complimentary lunch, kindly provided by Chilworth Manor Hotel. It's a great opportunity to relax, refuel and get to know your fellow volunteers before heading back out for the afternoon.

No previous experience is needed, just a willingness to get involved. A reasonable level of fitness is recommended, as some activities can be physically demanding and take place on uneven ground. You're welcome to volunteer for as much of the day as you're able.

Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear, and remember to bring plenty of water.
