Warehouse Concert Hall Presents
CHILIØ X GUTTER KING
with THE DOWNCAST & RIVAL TOWN
CHILIØ might have “chill” in the name, but there’s nothing calm about their journey. Hailing from the mountains and prairies of Calgary, this five-piece fuses high-octane pop-punk and post-hardcore energy with trippy, psychedelic textures, think Sum 41 colliding with Tame Impala and RHCP. Since 2016, they’ve been carving out a sound that’s cosmic, nostalgic, and relentlessly exploratory. Their debut LP (un)orthodox (2022) became the soundtrack to the TELUS documentary Small Town Strength, earning a Rosie Award nomination and early praise for its genre-blending ambition. Finn McKenty (Punk Rock MBA) spotlighted their single “Fractals” for its fearless mix of vibes, and their 2024 EP Quarter-Life Crisis pushed even further—eight anthemic gut-punches about adulthood’s highs, lows, and WTF moments, wrapped in raw honesty and soaring hooks. From sweaty dive bars to festival stages, CHILIØ has shared the spotlight with Simple Plan, Sublime with Rome, Wheatus, Mest, and more. Their music is for outsiders, stargazers, and anyone ready to find their own path.

By bending genres and hitting all the right emotional notes, Canadian metalcore band Gutter King means business. Determined to expand the world of metalcore by embracing their broad list of influences, Gutter King is breaking barriers and isn’t slowing down any time soon. The first single off their latest EP, Chemical Messages (2023) demonstrated that Gutter King had rewritten the rules, and had gone all-in on their own unique sound. “Bloodrush” embraces a new sonic palette that takes the listener to places that were previously untouched by the band; an evolution that their listeners, both new and old, welcomed with open arms. After a busy year of touring Canada, the band followed up their 2024 Deluxe version of Chemical Messages with a new single, “Killswitch”. The song ushered in a new era for Gutter King and set a tenacious tone for the future. This is only the beginning. Gutter King is more focused than ever, and hell-bent on making their name known in 2025.

The Downcast is a pop-punk band from Toronto, Ontario. Their debut EP, Trouble at The Surfcomber, was released in August of 2018 and was produced by Alan Day of Four Year Strong. This record is packed with memorable melodies, emotional lyrics, and ripping guitar riffs. In a sea of unsigned artists asking for your attention, this is one band that should not be overlooked. Their future is promising for even more unique songs that you can’t seem to get out of your head.

Rival Town is a heavy pop-punk band, formed in Spring 2015 in Thunder Bay, Ontario when founding members Bryce Smith (guitar) and Devon Forbes (drums) met through a mutual friend while playing a Sum41 cover show. Over the following month the two decided to start a band, and recruited Bryce’s younger brother Jared Smith (keyboard), Chris Peterson (guitar), Jordan Krawczuk (bass), and Cary Hansen (vocals). Their debut EP, Deadlines & Milestones, consisting of material previously written by Bryce Smith, was released within weeks of the band’s formation. In November 2015 the band signed with a small New York record label, Manik at Records. They released their first full-length album, Call It Like It Is in April 2016. They continued to play and tour out of Thunder Bay for the next six months before moving south to St. Catharines, Ontario to be closer to the Toronto and New York music scenes. They released their next EP, Make it Work, in October 2017. In February 2018, the band left Manik Kat Records and continued to play and perform independently. In winter of 2019, vocalist Cary Hansen left the band to return to Thunder Bay, and Mike Julian, former vocalist of Midland, Ontario-based metal band Falset, joined as the new lead vocalist.
