Through her work, Laury is both a therapist, and a self taught expressive artist. To her and her clients, art is a lifeline. CHILDS PLAY invites a sense of permission and spaciousness to be ourselves, to be witnessed and radically accepted for all of who we are, so we may be inspired to transform our relationships, our communities, and ultimately our worlds. She paints through experiences of neurodivergence, grief, and reclaiming the freedom of childhood. Her practice is only interested in process, and her therapeutic and art works expand into one another.
CHILDS PLAY seeks to bridge the gap where words reach their limitations, where feelings are called to move through mark, mess, color. CHILDS PLAY answers this call, alchemizing stories of pain through acyrlic over canvas.
