Calling all young readers, curious minds, and budding storytellers! Join us for a magical celebration of books, imagination, linguistic diversity and creativity at the Children’s Book Festival at the Institut français d’Écosse!
Programme:
10:00–11:00: Alastair Chisholm will present his new picture book, Sticky Mildred (ages 2–6), in English, bookings opening soon
11:00–11:40: Couette-Couette show (ages 2+), non-verbal: book your ticket(s) here
11:40–12:00: Madly Chatterjee will read the latest version of one of her bilingual picture books, Les enfants de Slowville (ages 2–7), in French, free
12:00–12:45: Grace Easton, author of The House with the Little Red Door, will host an improvised drawing session (ages 2+), in English, bookings opening soon
13:00–13:15: Peter and the Wolf, performed by Arthur and Catherine, in French, free
13:15–14:00: Kasia Matyjaszek, children’s book Illustrator, in English, Polish, French, free
14:00–15:00: Clémentine Baudet, Halloween workshop (ages 4–6), in French, bookings opening soon
15:00–15:30: Elodie Montagne and Victoria May, reading/discussion of the picture book Un costume pour minuit (ages 4+), in French or bilingual, free
