90 minute pottery sessions learning a different pottery technique every week in August, 2024£15pp per session - You can book just 1, 2, 3, 4 or all 5 its up to you!
Clay workshops where you will enjoy learning lots of pottery skills with Alan Hill, your DBS cleared pottery tutor and Craft Potters Association member. Each class includes all materials, glazes and firings, and a waiting area for parents.
Friday 2nd August - Pinch Pot “Monsters”
10:30-12:00 for 8-16 years old (6 or 7 year olds only with parental support).
This week you will make your own Monster using the pinch pot technique.
Friday 9th August - Coil pot “Snakes & Snails”
10:30-12:00 for 8-16 years old (6 or 7 year olds only with parental support)
This week you will use the coiling technique, to make your own Snail or a snake pot.
Friday 16th August - Slab Pot “Ugly Mugs”
10:30-12:00 for 8-16 years old (6 or 7 year olds only with parental support)
This week you will make your own mug from slab pottery.
Friday 23rd August - Mould pot “Beach bowls”
10:30-12:00 for 8-16 years old (6 or 7 year olds only with parental support)
This week you will make bowls with a beach theme using pottery moulds.
Friday 30th August - Throwing “Have-a-go on a potter’s wheel & paint a pot”
10:30-12:00 or 1:30-15:00 for 8-16 years old (6 or 7 year olds only with parental support).
This week you will have a 1 to 1 go on the pottery wheel to make your own thrown pot, and also decorate a mug (made by Alan) while not throwing.
