About this Event
The Allegheny Intermediate Unit and the Allegheny County Library Association partner to present the Children’s Choice Awards. Similar to a Mock Newbery program, school and public librarians will work together to support students (grades 3-6) in choosing the BEST BOOK of the year! Students have until April to read the 8 nominated books and then vote for their favorite. The winning books will be announced at the event. For more information on the event, please see the Children's Choice Awards website. *This year's books will be released in October.
There is no fee to participate.
Registration is limited to 10 students per school due to event capacity. If you are interested in bringing additional students, you can always send us an email closer to the event date to see if we have any additional space due to cancellations.
