Children's Catechism
All classes are lead by Pastor Cosand. Contact the church office to enroll your student for this year’s sessions.
The catechism includes 99 questions and answers, so obviously students cover only a portion of them in a single summer session. Some of this summer’s questions are repeats from last year, as these are foundational questions. Questions in the last few sessions are different every year. In this way, returning students benefit from a review, while learning new material.
For their weekly home study, students should memorize answers to the week’s questions as well as the Bible verses that support each answer.
The adult catechism is a tool for fathers and mothers to learn these things for themselves and to better instruct their sons and daughters. As parents study each week with their children, the summertime will be more profitable for both parents and children.
Design of the children's catechism is to supplement the adult version available in the foyer of the Bethel sanctuary. These catechisms were compiled with the hope that families would regularly talk about the great truths of the Bible and that parents would teach their children.
