When Andrei Tarkovsky's Stalker was released in 1979, audiences around the world were introduced to The Zone: A mysterious location that promised to fulfill the deepest wish of anyone who entered it. The Grand Rapids Film Society is proud to announce a new series, Children of the Zone, celebrating Stalker and the sci-fi films it influenced who's bold expressions of the alien serve to highlight the horrors (and beauty) of being human.
Disguising itself as a human female, an extraterrestrial drives around Scotland attempting to lure unsuspecting men into her van. Once there, she seduces and sends them into another dimension where they are nothing more than meat.
