About this Event

This free three-hour workshop creates a collaborative creative experience for parents and young children (ages 3–6). The booklet's color-by-numbers structure provides clear direction and permission to mark the page without hesitation or chaos. Through guided activities, children develop foundational drawing skills: pressure control, repetition, line awareness, color recognition, and hand strength.

They experience how marks live on a page and discover that pattern emerges naturally from their own hands. Parents witness and support this process, creating shared creative time. Learning outcomes include: reading visual instruction, systematic application, fundamentals of mark-making, and drawing as discovery.

By the end of the workshop, children leave with a completed booklet they made themselves, which provides them with tangible demonstration of their drawing. This small offering builds creative confidence and demonstrates that making art is accessible and within reach.
