A festive day on campus to recognize the start of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and to celebrate the rock star patients we care for each day. The Blood Center has been invited to participate as well as some other community partners who work with families dealing with childhood cancer to come their table in the Main Concourse. They’ve been encouraged to have an activity and distribute resources and information about their organization.

Organizations invited are:
Kids Join the Fight / LLS /Al Copeland Foundation/ Hogs for the Cause / St. Baldrick’s/ American Cancer Society / Sickle Cell Association of South Louisiana/ Mauti Foundation/ Miracle Children’s Foundation
In addition to the tabling inside, there will be a photo booth with Childhood Cancer Awareness cutouts and yellow props, Creole Creamery Ice Cream, The Bloodmobile, and the Copeland’s food truck will be selling food to raise money for their fund. Lots happening!
