Childgrove English Country Dance

This is a special dance for three reasons.
#1. IT IS A FIFTH FRIDAY OF THE MONTH DANCE. If you come on the usual fourth Friday, we will not be there, and you will be doing Tai Chi.
#2. This is a free admission dance sponsored by Zoe and Alex, in celebration of their upcoming wedding and in acknowledgement of the wonderful dance friends who are so valued in their lives. This is one of the reasons people chose to hold dances in the past. What better way for a community to celebrate special people and a special event?
#3. This dance happens the day before Halloween. If the mood moves you, you may opt for the seasonal dress-up.
Like all of our dances, no partner is necessary. If you are new to English country dancing, all dances are walked through before dancing to the music. If there are enough new people in the hall around 6:40 pm, a brief lesson can take place. Dress comfortably and bring a water bottle.
Callers for the evening will be our own Karen Jackson, Martine Roesel from Kansas City, MO, and Conner Quinn (Zoe's brother).
Music will be provided by Ragged Robin (Martha Edwards, Tim Hirzel, Craig Vinyard, and Bill Boyer). These are the usual musicians. Sometimes substitute musicians do happen.
COME SHARE THE MERRIMENT AS WE DANCE TO SOME OF ZOE'S AND ALEX'S FAVORITE DANCES AND WISH THEM WELL IN THEIR FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
