Child Care Outreach Training

Understanding Feeding and Speech Development: This session will increase the participants' understanding of early childhood development of Speech and Language and Feeding. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of both typical and concerning developmental patterns. Common developmental concerns will be discussed along with how to recognize and when to make a referral to a speech pathologist. This session will also explore the interconnected development of feeding and speech. Practical activities that support healthy communication and feeding skills will be provided.

Building Brains with Music: Repeatedly, research has shown that music is the only activity that utilizes the entire brain. Combining this with the understanding that the early years are when we make the most difference, this workshop demonstrates through movement and activity how to use music to build brains and create children who are competent, capable, and confident. March will share brain research findings and provide you with ways to apply them, helping you meet State standards while having fun. Make learning enjoyable for you and the children!
