Time: 2hr Course
Course Overview:
Knowledge of First Aid, CPR and Choking
Basic safety measures
Fire Safety- fire extinguisher skills
Safe behaviors/check-in with parents/guardians and keeping trust
When to call for help and how to call for help
Basic Childcare Knowledge and Skills
Handling common child emergency situations
Diaper changing and basic care needs.
Business of Babysitting: dependability, reliability, strong work ethic.
Family Orientation: meeting families before agreeing to babysit.
2-year certification
**This is a babysitting certification not CPR certification. These topics will give attendees the skills to keep children safe in hopes of avoiding major safety issues. CPR classes do not cover child development and care needs.
Payment: $120 per person- cash or check (Better Babysitting) the day of.
Take $10 off the cost if you bring nonperishable food items (3 or more items) or toiletries for the Trumbull Food Pantry.
