About this Event
An Invitation from Geminus
According to recent studies, children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are at a higher risk of experiencing abuse or neglect. The unique challenges they face require tailored approaches to ensure their safety and well-being. Addressing these concerns is more important than ever as we work together to protect vulnerable youth and empower families with the knowledge to foster understanding and care.
The Child Abuse Prevention Symposium focuses on raising awareness and providing practical tools to prevent abuse while fostering inclusion for children with autism. In addition to sessions on autism and child abuse prevention, the symposium offers breakout sessions on related topics such as domestic violence, complex trauma, and more.
Together, we will explore strategies to address these critical issues and create safer, more supportive environments for children and families.
We hope you join us for this important and enlightening event.
Sincerely,
Nicholas M. Neal
Vice President Community Services
