You’ve heard of Woodstock, but what do you call a 3-day country music festival crammed into just one evening? Get ready for CHICKENSTOCK! Presented by Adelaide’s own ironic country music band “Brad Chicken and the Bootstraps”, this is your chance to dust off yer old Cowboy boots, strap on some Western chaps and squeeze into those Daisy Dukes, as you will sure be wanting to look the part to join in all the boot-scootin’, high-falutin’ fun and games! Let Brad Chicken entertain you and dance along to both kinds of music - Country AND Western. Discover your love for line-dancing, and join in our interactive games and competitions. To round off the night dance your buckeroo's off to the finest DJ this side of the Missisipi, when Maxine Overalls plays all your favourite country hits well into the early hours of the mornin'. This is a social night like no other. Find your inner Buckaroo or Hoedown Honey before the Fringe ends, kick up your heels and have a night to remember. Yeehaw!Brad Chicken and the Bootstraps are Adelaide’s own premier country rock powerhouses. Hailing from the sun-soaked plains of the deep South, this talented group brings a refreshing blend of country and rock that'll have you stomping your boots and raising your glass. Their music is the soundtrack to life in the South, touching on themes of love, heartbreak, and the joy of living in a place where good times are just a two-step away. In July 2024 the Bootstraps released their debut single ‘We Eaten Good Tonight,’ and more recently won ‘Most Popular Country Artist’ at the SA Music Awards.
CHICKENSTOCK takes place on March 21st and 22nd in the Garden of unearthly delights at the Vagabond. Shows kick off at 10pm and tickets are available now through Fringetix for $40 + TF
