On Saturday, July 25, 2026 dive into the excitement of the Meadowlands Racetrack's Chicken Runs. Whether you're there to cheer on your favorite fowl or soak in the electrifying vibes, this sure to be a fan-favorite family outing! Participants will don inflatable chicken and rooster costumes and race to the finish line for a chance to win $250! Adults and kids both welcome to compete.Costumes
Participants must bring their own chicken costume; limited number will be available for purchase in the Backyard (Adult/Teen Size $65; Kids $45 - includes batteries)
Costumes must be the inflatable step-in kind. Acceptable options can be found on Amazon at Amazon.com : blow up chicken costume
Costumes must be chickens only; no dinosaurs or other animals allowed.
Races & Prizes
Every adult contender receives a $5 betting voucher for racing
Every child contender receives a free ice cream coupon

Six heats by age group
o After 1st harness race (approx. 6:40pm) - Lil' Chicks (under 6)
o After 2nd harness race (approx. 6:45 pm)- Chicks (Kids 6-12)
o After the 3rd harness race (approx. 7:05 pm) - Old Hens (Ages 50 and older women)
o After the 4th harness race (approx. 7:45 pm) - Old Roosters (Ages 50 and older Men)
o After the 7th harness race (approx. 8:35 pm) - Hens (ages 13-49)
o After the 8th harness race (approx. 9:55 pm) - Open Roosters (ages 13-49)
