Whether you’re thinking about raising your first chickens or already have a flock, Chicken Basics: Are Chickens Geologists? offers something for everyone.
Meet live chickens and learn from three experienced chicken keepers whose experience ranges from managing small flocks of 20–30 birds to caring for more than 200. Their backgrounds include backyard chicken keeping, poultry-related business experience and selective breeding.
We’ll talk about getting started, everyday care, chicken behavior, flock management and breeding. Bring your questions and get practical answers from people who raise chickens every day.
And because chickens are natural scratchers and diggers, we’ll follow their curiosity underground! See what chickens can uncover and enjoy a hands-on introduction to some of the tools and techniques used to examine rocks and the earth beneath our feet.
