-Zouk hypnotizes the participants with their melodies and lyrics. Because of its paused rhythm, it is easy to follow and learn. Zouk is very good for beginner’s classes, Zumba® Gold, or just slowing down the intensity of a regular Zumba® class. Fused with other rhythms become very exciting and challenging to the participants.
-Kizomba is one of the most popular genres of dance originating in Angola. It is a derivative of traditional Angolan semba. On this basis, kizomba music emerged from French-Caribbean zouk after 1986 when the band Kassav visited Africa, as a more modern music genre with a sensual touch mixed with African rhythm. Kizomba music is derived primarily from zouk.
