Internationally renowned conductor Riccardo Muti served as the orchestra's tenth music director and is now its Music Director Emeritus for Life. With over 40 years of experience, he has led prestigious orchestras, including Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and Teatro alla Scala. Muti holds numerous honors, including the Italian Cavaliere di Gran Croce, British Knight Commander of the French Legion of Honor. He maintains close ties to the Vienna Philharmonic.
