A Place for Everyone: From the elite Markowitz Masters to our dedicated Novice Division, we have a bracket tailored to your skill level.
Beginners Welcome: Never played with a clock or in a formal setting? Our directors are on hand to help you get started. The Novice division is the perfect, low-pressure way to transition from "app player" to "live player."
The event features lectures from backgammon "Giants," including world-renowned expert Michihito “Michy” Kageyama.
We will also host the 2026 Women’s National Championship as part of this year's festivities.
Non-Stop Action: With 5-point blitzes, "Quickie" tournaments, and the "Juniors vs. Seniors" battle, there is never a dull moment at the Hyatt.

May 20: Registration opens & Players Cup (BMAB) begins.
May 21-22: Jackpots, Masters, and Doubles tournaments.
May 23: ABT Main Event Begins! (Includes Open, Intermediate, and Novice divisions).
May 24: Main Event playoffs and a special evening lecture.
May 25: Final rounds and trophy presentations.
