Join us for this interesting point to point hike tracing as close as we can to some of the more obscure abandoned railroad beds in Chester County PA!
Meet at the Uwchlan Trailhead on Dowlin Forge Road where it hits the Struble Trail. From here, we will shuttle with as few cars as possible north to the area fo Struble Lake.
We'll follow some pleasant back roads for a bit, first tracing some of the former Wilmington and Northern line.
From here, we'll head to the junction site at Supplee.
We'll continue down along a branch of the Brandywine Creek using various trails and parks, sometimes directly on the former New Holland Branch of the Pennsylvania Railroad, sometimes close to it on back roads.
We'll pass a great many former station sites.
There are quite a few little parks we'll pass through, and the back roads will be pretty nice as well.
