Chess Mates

Chess Mates is a friendly drop-in chess gathering for players of all ages and skill levels. Sessions focus on relaxed, self-directed open play. Chess sets and clocks are available for use. A facilitator may be available to teach or play.

This program is led by Edward Larkin, RUSD/EL Chess Instructor, USCF Safe Sport Certified Tournament Director and founder of EL Chess Academies, LLC. Racine Public Library's Chess Mates program is part of RK Chess Mates, a USCF Affiliate Club (A8861618). RK Chess Mates and all Racine Chess Mates, including RUSD/EL Chess Academies, promote social and emotional learning through chess.
