Join us for a relaxing chess playing under the ambient of the Portico Georgian dome with Jasper Cheng’s DJ set of bebop jazz music. Enjoy the music and chess or also take part on a ‘Design Your Own Chess Piece’ workshop run by the Portico’s commissioned artist Hattie Kongaunruan! All materials provided.

• We invite you to bring your own chess set to play. The Portico will provide two sets (first come first serve basis) and tables and chairs.
• There will be refreshments available to purchase.
• All ‘Design Your Own Chess Piece’ workshop materials will be provided for.
• Optionally, for an additional fee of £22, you can get your bespoke Chess piece design 3D printed by Hattie in your chosen colour. Payment & arrangements will be made at the event day to pick up the chess pieces later at the Portico. Each print will be 7-8cm tall approx.
