Cheshire Innovation Network: Get That Grant

Securing innovation funding is not about chance. It is about having the right strategy, clarity, and preparation. Get That Grant is a practical, hands-on workshop designed to help SMEs identify the right funding opportunities, shape strong project ideas, and improve their chances of success with funders such as Innovate UK.

During the session, we will explore the UK innovation funding landscape and what it means for SMEs in Cheshire West. Participants will learn how to take a more proactive approach to funding by building simple routines for horizon scanning and planning future bids, rather than reacting to calls at the last minute.

The workshop will also support participants to turn business challenges and growth ambitions into fundable project ideas. Through guided exercises, you will begin to shape a clear value proposition that speaks directly to funder priorities, including innovation, impact, and deliverability.

By the end of the session, participants will leave with a clearer understanding of relevant funding opportunities, one or more potential project ideas, and a stronger foundation for developing competitive grant applications. This workshop is suitable for SMEs that are new to innovation funding as well as those looking to improve their funding strategy and success rate.
