Come hang out with us at Chesapeake Market & Deli on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 8am - 9pm in North Beach as we celebrate Earth Day and the Chesapeake Mermaid’s birthday!Join us in celebrating the official launch of her brand-new storybook, “Turtles Fly Too,” created in partnership with the organization of the same name, which volunteers to air-transport injured or stranded sea turtles to rehabilitation centers. Don’t miss your chance to grab a copy and be among the first to explore this enchanting, nature-loving adventure. And when you grab something tasty, 5% of your food purchase goes directly to supporting The Chesapeake Mermaid’s environmental education programs.
The Chesapeake Mermaid is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to environmental education and Chesapeake Bay stewardship. Through books, activities, and performances, their programs spread awareness and support for bay wildlife and habitats, engaging up to 30,000 individuals each year.
