The Chesapeake City Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce that we have partnered with the famous Chesapeake Cowboys to bring the Extreme Boat Docking Contest to Chesapeake City. Watch Maryland’s most skilled watermen go head-to-head, maneuvering and docking workboats in mere seconds. Get ready for the fastest, loudest, and most high-octane waterfront event in the Chesapeake City Basin!
🔥 WHAT IS EXTREME BOAT DOCKING?
This isn't your average day on the water. Captains navigate single-screw traditional Chesapeake deadrise workboats and reverse them at breakneck speeds in a race against the clock! Mates sprint across the deck to lasso docking pilings in seconds flat—where one slip of a rope determines who takes home the prize money!

A portion of all ticket sales go directly toward Wounded Veterans of Cecil County, 2 local families in need and to future projects/events sponsored by the Chesapeake City Chamber of Commerce.
Bringing a professional production like the Chesapeake Cowboys to Chesapeake City is a massive undertaking with significant upfront costs. Boating is not a cheap sport, in addition to the costs of the waterman the ticket prices help cover building and constructing the event bleachers, a live band, DJ, the MC, Jumbotron and other expenses associated with putting on an event of this scale. We completely understand in today’s economy, seeing $30 tickets for standing room or $90 for bleacher seats can understandably cause sticker shock. We wanted to be 100% open and transparent with our community about why these prices are set the way they are and where that money actually goes.
We are excited about bringing this new event to our town. Bring the family, grab your friends, and cheer on the watermen for an unforgettable show on the water!
