Climbing 77 floors and sharing a morning tea in the clouds
Hi, we're Lisa and Ben Peasley. We own and run Cherubs Early Learning Centre in Banora Point and The Learning Cottage in Nerang. Between us we've got a blended family of four kids, a border collie, and a deep soft spot for the families and educators in both communities.
On Sunday 23 August 2026, the Cherubs X The Learning Cottage team will climb 77 floors of the Q1 Tower for LIVIN. Educators, families, friends, anyone who wants to step up. Then we're all heading to Level 78 for an exclusive morning tea at the top, with the best view on the Gold Coast and a roomful of legends who showed up.
Here's why this one matters to us.
Cherubs has been part of the Tweed for almost 30 years. The Learning Cottage has been a Nerang favourite for years too, and we joined the family in May 2026. Two centres, one team now, both led by educators we'd trust with our own kids. Robyn and Jaya holding it down at Banora. Kerry, Molly and the crew at Nerang. They turn up before the sun. They wipe noses and dry tears. They teach little humans how to share, breathe, regulate and belong. That work shapes the rest of a kid's life.
It also takes a toll. Educators give a lot. So do parents. So do all of us trying to do right by our families and our communities. LIVIN says it best. It Ain't Weak to Speak. Mental health touches every household at some point, and the earlier we start the conversation, the better.
Ben's been on the Sea to Sky Stair Challenge steering committee for ten years. He's seen what this climb does for the Gold Coast. Every dollar raised goes straight into LIVIN's school programs, helping young Aussies find words for what they're feeling before it's too late.
Spaces are extremely limited. Don't miss this one.
Level 78 of Q1 isn't open to the public on event morning. We've secured a small allocation for our families and community, and once it's gone, it's gone. From about 10:15 to 11am, we'll be hosting our climbers, supporters and community 230 metres up at SkyPoint. Coffee, food, music, sweaty hugs, big smiles, the whole Gold Coast laid out below. The vibe is going to be unreal.
These spots are sought after and we can't open them up to everyone. If you want in, lock it in now before they're taken.
How to be part of it. Two steps, do both today.
Sign up at either Cherubs Banora Point or The Learning Cottage Nerang. Talk to Robyn or Jaya at Cherubs, or Kerry or Molly at Nerang. They'll add you to the team and confirm your spot.
Jump on this fundraising page, click into your name, and start raising. Every dollar you bring in goes straight to LIVIN and the kids their schools programs reach. Even $40 makes a real difference. Share your page, tag your mates, do what you can. It adds up faster than you'd think.
Whether you climb, walk, cheer from the bottom or just rock up for the morning tea, you're part of this. Two centres, one team, one big morning at the top of the Gold Coast for a cause that matters.
Don't wait. Spots are filling and the day is closer than it feels.
