🎏 Kite flying in Japan symbolizes the welcome of spring and wishes for children’s healthy growth. 🪅 The tradition of breaking piñatas in Mexican culture represents resilience and overcoming life’s challenges. Together, these traditions reflect Springfield Sister Cities’ mission to promote cultural awareness and celebrate our connections with Isesaki, Japan, and Tlaquepaque, Mexico 🌎
This year’s festival is presented by Springfield Sister Cities Association and the Jeannette L. Musgrave Foundation. In partnership with the Springfield-Greene County Park Board and Friends of the Garden. Sponsored by Renewal by Andersen, Brigitte Marrs, and Wally & Joyce Munden 🤝
‼️NOTICE: Monitored RIGHT-TURN ONLY entrance and exit will be in effect during the festival to mitigate traffic. Visitors must travel north from Battlefield Rd. to enter. No entry will be permitted when heading south from Sunshine St. 🚗 Thank you for understanding!
