Learn how to skate and play roller derby in this introductory camp - open to those 18 years of age and over! No skating experience is necessary.
WHEN:
We will kick-off with an informational meeting on Monday, October 21 at 6:30 PM.
Experienced members of the Chemical City Derby Girls will lead instructional nights, starting on October 28, on Mondays from 7:30 - 9:30 pm (learn to skate and learn basic skills required to play roller derby!). Optional self-practice will take place on Thursdays at the same time.
If you cannot make the informational meeting, you can still join the training camp. Just reach out to us via messenger for pertinent information.

HOW MUCH?
The cost of the training camp is $100. This will include loaner safety gear (first come/first selection), skate rental, and drop-in fees to pay the rink. Skaters will have the option to pay by cash or PayPal (directions provided during the informational meeting). You will only need to purchase your own mouth guard; these are available for purchase at the Roll Arena. Please plan to purchase and mold before the first on-skates training session on October 28.
MORE INFORMATION:
Skaters should dress in comfortable workout clothes and wear long(er) socks to comfortably fit rental skaters. Please also bring a water bottle and open attitude to try new things!
