Are you interested in pursuing a career in teaching?
Join us at Cheltenham Bournside School for a chance to experience school life from a teacher’s perspective and find out whether teaching could be the career for you.
Bournside was rated Good in all areas by Ofsted, including the quality of education. Inspectors highlighted our ambitious curriculum, strong sense of community and the way pupils engage positively with their teachers and other adults. They also recognised the importance we place on staff wellbeing and curriculum knowledge.
Our Teacher Taster Day will give you the opportunity to see this for yourself and get a genuine insight into life in the classroom.
During the day, you will:
👀 Observe lessons and experience a typical day in a busy secondary school
📝 Plan and teach a mini lesson, with guidance and support from experienced teachers
💬 Hear from GITEP about teacher training routes and the PGCE application process
🎓 Learn more about teaching as a career, including training, professional development and the opportunities available
☕ Meet teachers and ask questions about their experiences, challenges and rewards
Whether you are already considering teaching or are simply curious about whether it could be right for you, this is a chance to get involved, ask questions and experience the classroom for yourself.
