Chelsea Sodaro is a trailblazer in endurance sport and a powerful voice for mothers everywhere. A former collegiate All-American and national champion runner at UC Berkeley, Chelsea discovered triathlon only in 2017, yet rose quickly to the sport’s highest level. In 2021 she gave birth to her daughter, Skye, and just 18 months later stunned the endurance world by winning the 2022 IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, becoming the first American woman in more than 25 years and the first rookie in decades to claim the crown. She followed that with a podium finish at the 2024 World Championships, proving her dominance was no one-time feat.
Off the race course, Chelsea channels her competitive drive into advocacy. Through her work with For All Mothers+ and the annual Unlocking Yes summit she founded, she raises awareness and funding for maternal health, mental wellness, and gender equity in sport. Chelsea’s story is one of grit and reinvention—an inspiring reminder that the biggest breakthroughs often come when we embrace change, honor our well-being, and dare to reimagine what’s possible.
