Chelmsford Youth Wrestling Tournament Sunday January 4th
This weekend we will be at the Chelmsford Youth Wrestling Tournament, which is a k-8 tournament. Older kids in the morning younger in the afternoon.
Uniforms
We are hopeful that uniforms will be in this week to hand out, sorry for the delay on this.

There is a novice and an experienced division. Please make sure you register for the correct one based on your wrestlers experience (3 or less tournaments lifetime = novice, duals don't count)
2026 Chelmsford Youth Wrestling Tournament
Sunday, January 4th 2026
Middle School: Grades 5-8
Weigh-ins from 6:30 - 7:30 AM
Wrestling begins @ 9 AM
Grade School: Grades K-4
Weigh-ins from 12:00 PM -1:00 PM
Wrestling begins @ 2 PM
Tourney Style: Round-robin brackets of approximately 4 wrestlers. Each wrestler will compete in three matches. Matches will consist of 3 one-minute periods (1-1-1). At the beginning of each flight all weight classes will be assigned to a specific mat for all of their matches.
Grouping: Wrestlers are grouped by age, weight, and wrestling experience. There will be four
divisions: K-2, 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8. When pre-registering, select "Novice" or "Advanced"
• Beginner Division - Three or fewer tournaments. (lifetime)
• Experienced Division - Four or more tournaments. (lifetime)
Coaches/Parents: Please use integrity in assigning your wrestlers to the appropriate division.
Adults are encouraged to move athletic/tough wrestlers with less experience up to "Advanced".
Skin and Nail Check: Will be done at registration. Please trim your nails in advance.
Any questionable skin issues will be referred to the head official for final decision.
Headgear: is strongly encouraged, but not mandatory.
Awards: Medals for top four place finishers in each weight class.
Referees: Certified referees and a Head Referee will handle any issues that may arise.
Snack Bar: Full Menu - Breakfast, Pizza, Snacks & Drinks throughout the day.
Please no food or drinks in the gym, and please store personal coolers in the snack bar area.
