CHECKMATE THE MOVIE - RED CARPET PREMIERE

The City of Savannah's YASU: Young Artists of Savannah United is back. CHECKMATE the play was a massive success, but the youth involved also filmed a movie version and now that vision has finally been able to become a reality. CHECKMATE THE MOVIE will open doors the play could not and bring the ideas of not snitching to the surface through the characters. The film is a triumph for the young people who worked hard on making sure that they were real and gave beautiful performances. After the play enjoy a 15 minute documentary on the struggles and accomplishment of the young people involved in the project. The film will hopefully be the start of something useful to all young people as a lesson for growth and learning about the stigmas of just telling the truth.
